The two-stage grinding mechanism effortlessly shatters then grinds the dry salt crystals or peppercorns to the desired grain size. Salt intensifies aromas, balances other flavours and makes vegetables tastier. Choose very finely ground pepper to bring out its spice when cooking, or a coarser grind to highlight its aromas, flavour and texture, for example when adding to a salad. The gift-boxed mills come with a sample sachet of salt and a sachet of pepper to get you started, as well as a stainless steel funnel for easy refilling. To refill, simply unscrew the top knob, lift off the top and pour in your salt or peppercorns. Use only dry rock salt, to a maximum size of 4mm. For peppercorns, the maximum size is 6mm.
