The Calathea houseplant is a pretty special guy with stunning stripey leaves that have a certain elegance about them. In its natural habitat, this plant spends much of its life under the dense jungles of South America, so likes damp soil to keep at its best & looking fresh. The underside of the leaves are often as interesting to look at as the top, so think about placing it somewhere in your home where you can get a glimpse of both.
The Yucca belongs to the Asparagus family and likes a bright spot. Native to the Carribean and the Americas, they like an arid environment so don't like to be overwatered. Don't you just love the majestic structure of this plant. Its perfect to style up a corner of a room.
