Thanks to Dyson, we’re officially in our healthiest hair era

Dyson has done it again. The brand dominates the haircare field with its pioneering products, and now its most awarded hair multi-styler and dryer has re-engineered its styling attachments to excel further. It has also released the new Airwrap™  in a special edition Strawberry Bronze colourway for the gifting season, taking inspiration from sweet British strawberries. Tempted? Us too.

What is the Dyson Airwrap™ Complete Long Volumise?

The globally awarded tool is a multi-styler and dryer in one – you can dry, curl, shape, smooth and hide flyaways. It uses Dyson’s Coanda Technology to dry and style your hair with no extreme heat damage (the heat control measures airflow temperature over 40 times a second, controlling the heat and keeping the temperature under 150°C). It comes with three airflow speeds and three heat settings (including a cold shot), and promises a healthier, shinier and glossier finish.

How to use the Dyson Airwrap™ Complete Long Volumise

First of all, I add detangling spray and hair oil (for protection and shine) to my hair, before drying to about 80 per cent. Next, pick your attachment for styling, and finish with a post-style serum to add shine and definition. We recently reviewed Dyson’s Chi | To | San post-style serum (you can read all about it here), and for hair style inspiration and tips from Dyson style experts, download the MyDyson app.

The verdict: is the new Dyson Airwrap™ worth it?

Price is becoming less of a barrier when it comes to hair tools, as we now understand more about what research and innovation goes into creating healthy hair. Plus John Lewis has a minimum two-year warranty, so you can trust it will last. That said, at £479.99 you need to make sure you’ll use it daily, and make the most of every attachment.

The new Dyson Airwrap™ can do a lot of different things on a lot of different types of hair, so it’s incredibly versatile. Wet to styled hair is truly revolutionary, and I can’t wait to see what Dyson does next.
