What’s an induction hob?
Induction hobs heat the pan, not the hob, using an electrical current. They can heat a pan faster than a traditional gas or electric hob and are more energy efficient too. They’re also easier to clean, as you can wipe the hob shortly after using it. Remember, not all ceramic hobs are induction hobs.
An induction hob can only be used with induction compatible pans. You can use induction kettles (which are faster to boil than normal kettles) with induction hobs. The fine degree of control over the power of the hob is also good for tasks like melting chocolate or making a sauce.
Stop & Go as you please
The Stop and Go feature allows you to safely leave your hob unattended for a short space of time, ideal for when the doorbell rings or if you leave something in the other room. When you return and press go, the heating zones will resume to their previous power levels, saving you time and energy.
Keep it warm for as long as you need
The Keep Warm function helps you keep food at the perfect serving temperature, even if your family appear at meal times half an hour apart! It also eliminates any chance of overcooking dishes, so your hard work doesn't go to waste.
Control settings
There’s an LED display for each cooking zone with up to 9 power levels, a three-stage residual heat indicator and a built-in timer. Plus, the hob has a child safety lock and safety cut-out protection for extra peace of mind.
Please note: there should be a minimum height clearance of 65cm between an electric hob and the cooker hood above it.
