The Z6 II mirrorless camera is a multimedia powerhouse. Capture high speed shooting at 24.5 megapixels, and stunning 4K UHD video, with outstanding low-light performance. It's powered by not one, but two, processors, and also features dual memory card slots for a more versatile workflow. With a host of tweaks and upgrades on the renowned original Z6, it's loaded with creative features and makes it simple to share your work wirelessly with both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Z lens mount
The wide, full-frame Z Mount captures more light. And with the optimum distance of just 16mm between mount and sensor, more of that light reaches the sensor. Nikon's F Mount lenses can also be used with the FTZ adapter (not included, available separately).
24.5 megapixel sensor
Its full-frame CMOS sensor captures 24.5 megapixels of rich and razor-sharp detail. Twin EXPEED processors double the power at your disposal for everything from autofocus to buffer capacity. The result is silky-smooth performance, whether filming or shooting stills. And with a high ISO range of 100-51200 results are equally good in bright daylight or low-lit night scenes. Low-light autofocus works down to -6 EV with an f/2 (or faster) lens.
4K UHD movies
Record scintillating detail in movie footage with full-frame 4K ultra high definition video at 30p. And achieve amazing slow motion movies in Full HD at 120p. Capture sharper, cleaner video footage with broader dynamic range, Eye-Detection and Animal-Detection AF are available while filming, and you can output footage however you need.
Dual card slots
Dual card slots means your workflow can always adapt. Use UHS-II SD cards in one slot, and XQD or CFexpress (Type B) cards in the other.
Focal plane autofocus covers 90% of the frame, and AF speed and AF tracking sensitivity can be set during movie recording. You can shoot full-resolution stills at up to 14 frames per second with full Autofocus / Auto-exposure. Or capture up to 200 JPEGs or 124 12-bit uncompressed RAW images in one burst.
In-camera five axis optical Vibration Reduction compensates for camera shake in five directions, making sure stills are always sharp, and videos smooth and stable.
Nikon's advanced 3690k-dot electronic OLED viewfinder is ultra-bright, ultra-sharp, and relays the full unexpurgated view of the shot. And you can overlay key shooting info while viewing to aid composition.
Wi-Fi & Bluetooth
With both Bluetooth and 5GHz Wi-Fi it's simple to use SnapBridge to connect wirelessly with smart devices for instant sharing of your work, and to shoot remotely.
Tough body, intuitive controls
With a super-strong, lightweight magnesium-alloy frame, this camera is easy to carry and tough enough to handle any location. It's fully sealed against dust, dirt and moisture. The tilting rear monitor lets you operate autofocus and shutter release functions by touch.
Share photos and videos quickly and easily using Nikon's Snapbridge app (available on iOS and Android). Quickly post a shot to your online media, control the Z6 II remotely, and it even lets you update the camera's firmware via your smart device.
Lenses and cases
One of the biggest advantages of this camera is the sheer shooting flexibility on offer. You can use additional lenses to take wide-angle, telephoto, or close-up shots to suit just about any situation. The shorter the focal length (measured in mm), the wider the view will be – the longer the focal length, the more telescopic the picture. With a selection of interchangeable lenses at your disposal, the creative possibilities are endless. Click here to browse our selection.
