The classic French worker jacket has been a faithful companion to mankind since the 1800s and never goes out of style. This one's crafted from a supple fabric with evident twill lines. It features all the necessary details: a point collar, three patch pockets and single-button cuffs. It's unlined, and the flat fell seams give the inside a neat finish. Produced just north of Tunisian capital Tunis, Nudie Jeans' ethical ethos doesn't just stop with responsibly sourcing materials; they're committed to creating a better working environment during manufacturing too.
Developing a manufacturing relationship with the Fares Confection Suarl sewing unit in Metline, northern Tunisia, since Autumn 2016, the Swedish designer's presence has since instigated better conditions in the factory. Working closely with the Fair Wear Foundation, they've helped build on-the-job skills for workers and engage management on social issues, namely staying true to the Code of Labour Practices and communicating more effectively within their teams.
Since the May 2019 audit, the factory's strong social commitment has continued to grow, including creating an intern program to help younger people in the Metline area get work experience on the assembly line.
