Home appliance installation & recycling services

When we deliver your new home appliance, our delivery Partners can install it at the same time. We can also recycle, or re-use where possible, your existing appliance too.
Simply add both the Installation and Recycling Service options to your basket alongside your new home appliance.

What to check?

To ensure a successful installation, before booking please review our installation pages with short videos and checklists.
If your appliance is being delivered directly from the supplier and you would like them to complete an installation service, please call 0345 604 8835 to book once you have purchased the appliance.

These services are available for most parts of the country, but do check that we offer these services in your area by scrolling down to the exceptions section at the end of the page; these restrictions normally apply to remote rural and highland and island postcodes.

Please check the pre-conditions we need you to meet before you order, then select the Installation and/or Recycling Service as you order your Product Online or in our shops.

Installation may not always be available if you select next day delivery for your appliance, or if the product is coming directly from a supplier.

Installation & disposal service exceptions and restrictions

Installation exclusions

John Lewis & Partners is unable to offer Installation services, services to American Style Fridge Freezers or to any home appliances that are delivered Supplier-direct. However, if you wish to buy a particular appliance where an Installation service isn't available to add to basket alongside the product, please call 0345 604 8835 before purchasing the appliance, as selected suppliers may be able to provide that service directly.

Recycling exclusions

John Lewis & Partners is unable to offer removal and recycling services, or re-use where possible, to American Style Fridge Freezers or to any home appliances that are delivered Supplier-direct. However, if you wish to buy a particular appliance where a Recycling service isn't available to add to basket alongside the product, please call 0345 604 8835 before purchasing the appliance, as selected suppliers may be able to provide that service directly.

Postcode exclusions

We offer most installation and recycling (or re-use where possible) services to the postcodes listed in the Standard services column below.

These services include all recycling services, washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer and standard TV installations, fridge door reversals, sofa re-use and all product assembly services, including barbecues and beds.

We're unable to offer any installation or recycling services to the postcodes listed in the not available column below; but if you wish to buy a particular appliance and installation isn't offered, please call 0345 604 8835 before placing your order, as selected suppliers may be able to provide that service.

Installation isn't available with our next day delivery service to any postcode, and lighting installation is only available when you buy your lighting in store and have it delivered.
