Dishwashers & laundry appliances

Dishwashing and laundry appliance services

What can I get?

Installation

We’ll connect your appliance to the water and waste pipes, switch it on and test the machine. If you’re ordering a vented tumble dryer we’ll connect the vent hose to an existing wall duct, but we don’t offer installation services for condenser dryers as these can just be plugged into the socket.

Disposal

We’ll take care of the heavy lifting and dispose of your old appliance, as well as any packaging from your new appliance.

Before you buy the service:

  • Ensure your waste pipe, water supply and electricity connections are no more than 1m away from where the appliance will be

  • For freestanding appliances, ensure you have a 13 amp 3 pin plug socket for connection

  • Ensure there’s an existing vent near the intended vented tumble dryer location

  • Ensure the appliance fits in your chosen location

  • Check that your appliance will fit through your doorways

  • For safety reasons we cannot install a dishwasher or laundry appliance in a bathroom or unheated outbuilding

Integrated refrigeration

Fridge Freezer appliance services

What can I get?

Installation

We’ll connect the water and electrics, as well as fit the integrated fridge freezer in your units. For a door reversal, we’ll deliver the appliance with the door reversal already prepared.

Disposal

We’ll take care of the heavy lifting and dispose of your old appliance, as well as any packaging from your new appliance.

Before you buy the service:

  • Ensure the electrical supply is within 1m of the installation

  • Ensure the appliance fits in your chosen location

  • For integrated installations, make sure your kitchen units are able to house the new appliance - we do not offer carpentry work to modify units

  • Allow a gap of 25mm at the top, back and sides of the appliance so that the warm air produced by the condenser can be properly ventilated

  • Lack of ventilation will cause the compressor to work harder, resulting in faster frost build-up and wasted energy

  • Don't forget to check your kitchen door splits match any new integrated appliance

  • Door split details can be found in the product information and will be one of the following: 70/30, 60/40 or 50/50

  • Check that your appliance will fit through your doorways

  • For safety reasons we cannot install a fridge or freezer appliance in a bathroom or unheated outbuilding

Freestanding fridge door reversal - £30 (some American-style fridge freezers or fridges with electronic controls don’t have the option for door reversal)

What can I get?

Installation

We'll disconnect your old appliance (regardless of fuel type), connect your new one, and give you a basic demonstration of how to use it.

  • Check the cooker isolation switch is accessible as the installation team will need to turn the power off

  • Check that your appliance will fit through your doorways

  • If you have a conservatory to the rear of your kitchen, this must have an air brick in the wall or additional ventilation

  • If you're in flat or shared home, the product must have a flame failure safety device (information available when purchasing the appliance)
