Planning tips

The thought of having a new kitchen fitted is very exciting, but there are so many
things to think about. We'd like to try and make it a little easier for you, so have pulled
together some helpful ideas on how to start planning

Your checklist

Here's a list of things to think about before you visit us
for an in-store consultation:

  • Doors and unit sides - consider colours, matching or contrasting?
  • Plinths - they run along the floor beneath units - matching or contrasting? Or do you want freestanding units on legs?
  • Cornices - these are the upper curve around the wall units, do you want matching or contrasting?
  • Drawers - how many do you need?
  • Handles - colour and type
  • Sinks - how many bowls, what material, positioning
  • Taps - material, how controlled, extras like drinking or steaming water taps
  • Unit & worktop lighting - halogen, fluorescent or LED lighting
  • Hanging rails - for utensils, textiles and so on
  • Splashbacks - in stainless steel or a large selection of glass colours
