Devon Duvets Wool Standard Pillow
GOOD BUT SOME ADVICE
I like the pillow, however it does need adjusting to individuals needs - pillow is massive for my neck, so I removed more than half of the wool! Way better now, and it fits well under neck. Only quibble is that given its real wool 'pieces' the adjustment wont remain in place! So it will need regular re adjusting, in order to redistribute the wool. The lumpiness is off putting at first, until you realise it can be adjusted to suit your shape.
Pleased overall, but given its changeable nature - especially once lots of wool removed to make pillow thinner - I would never risk washing it, I would go for dry cleaning.

I'm really fussy about pillows and have spent hundreds of pounds over the years trying to find one that feels right. Occasionally a good one comes along but they don't last forever and when I try and buy an exact replacement, I usually find they are no longer available. I did fancy trying the folding pillow but in my nearest John Lewis store, they didn't carry a display pillow or stock of one so I went for the standard one and am so glad I did. The helpful assistant suggested that I had a lie on a bed with the display pillow to get a feel for it as I was unsure and this was good advice. Comparing against a feather & down one, the wool pillow won. I sleep on my back mostly and this offers just the right amount of support for me. Only 5 days in use but I absolutely love it!

First time I have tried a wool pillow. It was, for my liking, too plump and somewhat lumpy.
I decided to remove some of the stuffing to see if it would help.
Herein I found the trouble. The wool was fine and soft, but stuffed into the pillow casing in great lumps.
I removed it all, smoothed out all the lumps and carefully replaced two thirds of the wool back into the casing. It is now quite smooth and comfortable. The casing is of excellent quality and has a zip, so easy to do. The whole procedure was completed in about ten minutes. If I need to wash the casing, I would do so only after removing the wool. If required, I would wash the wool, separately and by hand.

Unusable after washing
40degrees, wool cycle, spin/line dry. That's what I did and it's now unusable - a fat lump in the middle and empty in the corners. I'm going to take it back. I hope others are luckier than I am.

I bought two of this as the only natural alternative to feather filling (I wanted cotton filling but it does not seem to be available in this country). I had concerns that wool filling might make us hot at night, but it has not. We are happy with the pillows.

Really comfortable pillow
Just what I wanted, a soft pillow but giving some support. I much prefer this pillow to the goose down one I also tried. The goosedown flattened overnight but this wool pillow, whilst soft, continued to give support. Just the right thickness, not so thick that it gives me a cricked neck.

Lumpy after I washed it
Bought for my husband and he loved the pillow, said it kept cool etc but ever since I washed it (having followed the instructions) it just hasn't been the same. It is flat and lumpy. We have the duvets as well and I am now afraid to wash them.
