The fabric has been tested to EN 13758-2 UPF40. Sun exposure causes skin damage. The hat will provide protection to areas covered by the hat and to a lesser extent areas shaded by the sun. Shaded areas of the face, neck, and other areas of the body should be protected by a high factor sun cream.
