Broken twill is a modification of the traditional twill weave. By altering the diagonal direction of the twill, broken twill creates a distinct zig-zag pattern. While aesthetically pleasing, this alteration also has a practical advantage as it reduces the fabric's inherent tension, resulting in a softer fabric compared to its right-hand twill counterpart.
