The centrepiece of the design for the Queen Elizabeth II Centenary roundel decoration are the ornamental motifs depicting the four traditional floral symbols of the United Kingdom; an English rose, a Welsh daffodil, an Irish Shamrock and a Scottish thistle.
Handcrafted using traditional zardozi embroidery, a technique known for its rich metallic detailing. Made in India from velvet, silk and metal threads, gold cord and chaupel, and finished with multicoloured beads and soft foam filling.
