Energetic brushwork combines with vivid colours, resulting in fantastically vibrant artwork. These skies that change from dark to light are Scott's metaphor for optimism and hope.
Created using high-grade hand-painted embellishments on canvas, with a sleek, capped frame.
Scott Naismith graduated in 2000 in illustration and printmaking and has been a full-time artist working from his studio in Glasgow ever since. He is also a lecturer at the Creative Arts department of West College Scotland. With the lochs and glens of the West coast of Scotland as his favourite subject matter, Scott regularly travels around the country looking for inspiration for another landscape painting.
