Genuine left-handed scissors are specially designed so that the blades are reversed from those on standard scissors, allowing left-handed users to see the cutting line clearly and achieve a more accurate cut. As the handles are reversed, the blades are kept in tension when gripped in the hand.

These straight bladed stainless steel dressmaking scissors have soft grip handles and are made in Sheffield by a company established for nearly 200 years.
