Product Information

Ultimate comfort was one of Charles and Ray’s primary goals when developing the Lounge Chair. Their quest for a soft pleasant sensation led them to experiment with different leather and fabric covers. Following the 1956 launch, a fabric-covered version was available for just a short period and only a small number were produced.

In 2023 Vitra is relaunching the Eames Lounge Chair with a fabric cover. Nubia is a soft bouclé textile with a lively appearance, which gives the furniture icon a warm, cosy look.
