Q & As

Kenwood FP720 Multipro Food Processor 3.8 5 13 13
Oh what a dissapointment Terrible machine, spent twenty minutes trying to lock/engage bowl before motor would start. Blender also great problem trying to engage drive with motor unit, when you try to detach blender from motor unless you are very careful the clear plastic contain detaches itself from the base of the blender and what happens liquid all over the floor! Both the processor and the blender have stick on labels stating that the unit must be engaged properly otherwise they will not work, which just indicates that there is a design fault with both parts of the product, otherwise they would not have to attach further instructions re use. I had a previous model which I purchased about 14 years ago and I was delighted with, but this replacement is definitely an inferior product which obviously has been produced down to a price. I regret the day that I made my new purchase of another Kenwood. 30 October 2014
Not so good for making paste Bought it with a lot of hopes. But it does not meet my expectations. Does the food chopping job ok but I wanted to make loads of mixes of paste consistency, which is practically impossible in it. It just cuts the food into very fine pieces. Thats it.. And that cannot be called as a paste. What best it does is make a grainy stuff. Returning it. 24 October 2014
Good for purpose I generally really like this food processor, it's got lots of great attachments and works very well. However the downside is the plastic spindle that fits into the gear and rotates the attachments. It merely balances in the gear and when the mixing bowl is removed it falls on the floor, every time without fail. It's only a matter of time before this part breaks. I'm keeping the processor because it's great, but I do see this as at best an annoyance and at worst a design flaw. For the price, I recommend this product. 08 July 2014
Failed on first use We bought this to replace an older Kenwood model. Our old processor had given good service but the blades had lost their sharpness and the cost of spare parts made us decide that we would purchase a replacement processer manufactured by Kenwood. We decided to go for the FP720 as we thought this would adequately meet our needs. Unfortunately the drive mechanism in the liquidiser failed on first use. Upon inspection it appears that Kenwood may be building down to a price and we were disappointed with the quality of some of the component parts. A call to John Lewis quickly resulted in a replacement unit being sent to us. We hope that the part failure that we experienced was a "one off" and that our new Kenwood will prove as relaible as one that it has replaced, time will tell. Note that the FP720 is manufactured in China. 02 February 2013

Very useful Great blender and juicer - super to have a separate part for liquids, as in my old one soups and frappes went everywhere! Not quite sure how to use the spice shaker bit, but didn't buy it for that. 28 September 2012
Really pleased with it Haven't used all the attachments yet (there are loads), but have been pleased with it so far. It works well and is easy to use and keep clean. It takes up a lot of space but packs up cleverly. 27 July 2012
