The distinctive profile of the Noguchi coffee table from Vitra has been redesigned in solid oak, in this exclusive colourway for John Lewis & Partners. Making a striking centrepiece in any living area, its sculpted profile is crafted from a 19mm glass tabletop that rests on curved, triangular solid oak legs. This timeless piece includes a special addition badge, that's located on the base of the table.
Noguchi himself described this Coffee Table as his best furniture design, as it translates the concepts of his beautiful sculptures into a functional piece of furniture for the heart of your home. At its launch, the Noguchi coffee table was described as ‘sculpture-for-use’ and ‘design for production’. The shape of the two wooden supports produces a self-supporting and stable base, allowing the heavy plate glass top to be placed without the use of connectors.
