Clarks’ specially developed home measuring and fitting gauges allow you to conveniently measure your child’s feet at home.
Once you have length and width measurements, you can quickly find your child’s correct shoe size by entering them into the Clarks' Calculator. The size indicated should be used as a guide and the fit of shoes purchased online should always be doubled checked.
If you need further assistance, please visit your nearest store to have your child’s feet measured by trained partners who will find the best fit from our range of sizes and widths.

Clarks consistently produce reliable shoes in a plethora of styles to match every occasion. Whether dressing for school or wanting weekend cool, kids can always count on Clarks.

Brand Story

In 1825 in a Somerset village, James Clark used offcuts of leather to create a pair of slippers. After his visionary son took over later in the century, the company was revitalised and created the first ever shoe designed to fit the shape of the foot in 1883. The business grew from strength to strength and opened their own chain of shops, introduced a choice of width fittings and began manufacturing children's shoes. Since then, they've continued to innovate and are now one of the best-known names in footwear world-wide.

Rated 5 out of 5 by First Pair of School Shoes!! My son is of a slim build and has very narrow feet. These shoes suit him as they don't look too big on the end of his legs! They will serve him well with the rigours of his new school life!! 01 September 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by A proud Grandson who loves his Smart School Shoes I purchased these School Shoes for the second time, they are well made and sturdy for a Boy, my Grandson loves to polish them and is proud to wear them. Many friends comment on how nice they look , so they have brought them too, so a good product and feedback goes a long way, Please don't stop doing this style. 21 April 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Clarks Deaton Shoes These shoes are great for kids. My little brother is very active and likes to run about and he was abl to wear them for hours and now worry about his feet hurting. These shoes are always great for school. I would definetly buy them for my children when I have children. 17 March 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by tried and tested Tried a style from startrite for a change from these.2 pairs went back within a month of term faulty. Back to what I know is good value and hard wearing for my grandson. Never let down by these and saved money as well which is always a bonus. Get 2 pairs a year only as the size up is needed, but if your child has slow growing feet would get more wear. EXCELLENT SHOES 28 December 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolutely brilliant My son currently has these atm and I will continue to buy this style I have found them to be hard wearing and as you can imagine kids at school go through shoes like anything they do scuff but that's no problem just go over them with polish and there like new again, easy velcroe fastenings make them perfect would recommend these to anyone. 18 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by You can rely on Clarks My son should qualify as chief tester for Clarks school shoes. These have so far proved sturdy and resilient to his attempts to batter them into submission. Most other shoes barely make a half-term so are a false economy. I think these might be up to his challenge. 04 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great school shoe My son has had these shoes for school for the last 4 years and they are smart, hard-wearing and easy to clean. The ordering and delivery from John Lewis was great but my son's width fitting was out of stock so I tried a wider fitting but unfortunately they did not fit. I returned them without quibble. 20 September 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by very smart, hardwaring shoe. I have just bought the 3rd pair in a row of these shoes for my son. they look really smart and last for ages! they do scuff, but polish up well and do not fall apart after one term. 02 September 2012
