It is thanks to this platform that Samsung can offer you access to the best UHD content from Netflix and Amazon, with more providers coming soon. Browse content easily, searching for your favourite programmes and movies while you are still watching TV - and enjoy games too with a huge variety for all the family to play. Better still, the Smart system even has the ability to provide console-free gameplay direct through the TV itself. In addition to this, Brief on TV is another great new service which wakes the TV up when your alarm goes off so it shows useful information such as the time, the weather and your daily schedule*.

Easy convergence means that it’s compatible with all the major mobile technology platforms, needing only a one-step auto connect via Bluetooth Low Energy and Wi-Fi Direct. This grants access to sharing apps, content and video straight from your mobile to the screen. And what’s more with Smart view 2.0, you can even watch your mobile media on your TV.

4K Ultra-HD upscaling
Getting you closer to the action is Samsung’s innovative ultra-high definition upscaling technology. By converting lower resolution content – such as live TV – to a level of detail that is four times better than Full HD, the JU6500 allows you to enjoy stunningly sharp images with amazing clarity across all content. This means that you can view old favourites and new shows, in one of the highest qualities available. Upscaling is a process through which a lower resolution signal or data source is displayed at a higher resolution. The upscaling process interpolates additional pixels from the source data, and produces a clearer picture on your 4K screen than a non-upscaled image.

Multi-link Screen
With a multi-link screen, you can multitask or enjoy two channels side-by-side. It means that you can watch live TV while you use an app on the same screen, have a web browser open or watch content from another source. And what’s more, the size of each screen is adjustable so you can get the most out of your choice.

Game-Changing HDR
Forays into colour-boosting High Dynamic Range (HDR) have begun, and Samsung are one of the forerunners. As members of the newly-founded UHD Alliance, they've rolled out a firmware update that makes this set HDR-compatible. Usually, studios are forced to dilute the colour of their shows and films to fit on our TVs. Now, screens like this can channel content from studio-to-living room with the same precision and utterly otherworldly hues. Enjoy eye-popping HDR content from such apps as Netflix and Amazon Instant Video (subject to firmware update).

Intelligent navigation
The Samsung Smart Remote is controlled by motion and can also enable Voice Interaction to help you find the programmes you want to watch. Talk aloud to ask your Samsung TV to find you something that you would like to see and it will instantly search the schedules, on-demand services and apps to recommend content which is tailored to you.
