An Aquifier tap is a three-way kitchen tap delivering hot, cold and filtered water. This elegant Puria Aquifier kitchen tap from Abode is attractive and functional with a single lever for controlling the temperature and smooth flow. The filter lever can be rotated back to provide pure filtered drinking water from the single spout.
Made of brass in Italy and available in a choice of finishes to suit your kitchen, this durable tap is designed for medium-pressure home water systems.

Instant cold filtered water
Simply rotate the filter lever to provide instant cold filtered water. Particles are filtered to reduce the taste and odour of chlorine and reduce hardness from the water. This eliminates the need for plastic bottled water at home. The included water filter kit can be installed under the sink and should be changed every six months on average, or every three months if you live in a hard water area.
180-degree and anti-splash spout
Design benefits include 180-degree rotation of the spout to give you ease of use and accessibility. The tap's spout aerator or flow straightener adds bubbles to the water to keep your water flow in a controlled and distinctive pattern and eliminate splash back.
Durable valve with cold start
The tap uses ceramic disc valve technology to ensure the tap valve lasts for years to come. The tap is also energy efficient with a cold start valve so you can select only cold water, without mixing it with hot water and wasting energy consumption.
Stylish Italian-made design
This Puria tap can be used for new installations or for kitchen upgrades with its stylish and contemporary slimline swan neck design, made in Italy.

Below are a few options and features to consider when choosing your perfect kitchen tap. Taps are largely about style and preference although they can have several useful features:
| Aerators (also called flow constrictors) | These are anti-splash, but also mix air with your water, creating a good pressure, at the same time as saving water. If you are simply rinsing plates or cutlery these can give a great saving. |
| Filter taps | These work in the same way as a water filter jug, except they filter as you draw water from the mains, therefore giving you limitless filtered water. They remove bacteria, chlorine and lead from the water supply. They also remove any pesticides and insecticides which may have got into the water system. Filtered water also helps reduce the build up of limescale in appliances. The filter cartridges for these taps need replacing every 6 months or so to retain effectiveness. |

You no longer need to rely on kettles or saucepans to heat water before you make a cup of tea, or boil your veg - it comes instantly from the tap.
