Shelf life and storage:
- Up to 5 days shelf life
- If the cake is not being eaten straight away, we advise refrigerating the cake in an airtight container to keep it cool and fresh.
- Before serving, remove the cake from the fridge and allow it to return to room temperature. This will take approximately 3-4 hours, depending on the temperature of your room
- As soon as the buttercream has a soft whipped double cream like texture, you know the cake is ready to eat!
- If you don't allow the cake to return to room temperature the sponge and buttercream will be hard and the flavour may be dulled

- Cakes will keep for up to 5 days. If you're not slicing your cake straight away, store it in the fridge in an airtight container. When ready to tuck in, remove from the fridge and let it come to room temperature — this may take 3–4 hours depending on your room.Once the buttercream has a soft, whipped, double-cream-like texture, it’s ready to eat! If you don’t let it return to room temp, the sponge and buttercream will be hard and flavours dulled.
