HÅG Capisco Puls 8020 Office Chair

With its light, edgy-shaped back and seat, the HÅG Capisco Puls 8020 office chair is an ideal solution for work spaces where you sit for shorter periods of time, like meetings, touch-down areas, home offices and collaboration areas. Part of the HÅG Capisco concept, it's a celebration of innovative, unconventional design, and it will add personality to any space while providing true ergonomic support. Renowned Norwegian designer Peter Opsvik originally created the chair in 1984 in an attempt to overcome stereotypical sitting habits.

The result is this distinctive saddle seat, inspired by a horseback rider's dynamic posture. It offers endless ways to sit or half-stand, and encourages you to vary your position throughout the working day for increased energy, creativity and a healthier posture. Plus, it's one of the most responsibly manufactured office chairs. 95% of the polypropylene plastic used is recycled, mainly from post-consumer waste plastic and it's not made with glue or any other harmful substances.

Customisable adjustments for an active sitting experience

• With a flexible sit-stand seat and height range, it's easy to switch between sitting, standing and perching
• Varying your position during the working day will help you to feel more energised and focused on your work. It also helps to reduce fatigue that is often associated with standing desks
• Adjust the seat depth forwards and backwards to get backrest support for a resting position
• Adjust the backrest height for optimal comfort and elbow support
• The backrest tilts and can be locked into a position. Lock it in a neutral position when you sit sideways or backwards and unlock it for a natural rocking motion when sitting normally
• It's made with a ridged foot support that provides grip and helps you to vary the position of your feet

• The saddle seat enables a balanced posture and greater freedom of movement when sitting down to work
• With this posture, the lumbar curve is preserved, the hip joint angles are open and muscles are well-balanced and relaxed. This helps to eliminate the strain on your body which is often associated with conventional sitting positions

• The number of components and types of materials used to create this chair has been reduced to a minimum, making it a front-runner in eco-design
• The chair can be dis-assembled so that the various materials can be separated from each other to facilitate recycling
• This office chair was the first in the world to be certified with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel in 2010. In 2015, it received the EPRO award for 'Best Recycled Plastic Product' in Europe
