At the end of May 2025, the legendary LNER A3 Flying Scotsman arrived in the COBI building brick collection, celebrating one of the most iconic locomotives in British railway history.
Built in 1923, the Flying Scotsman became world-famous as the first locomotive officially recorded reaching speeds of 100 miles per hour, symbolising innovation, luxury travel and engineering excellence throughout the golden age of steam railways.
Even after decades of service and careful restoration, the Flying Scotsman continues to inspire railway enthusiasts around the world through exhibitions and special events.
This highly detailed model has been recreated in a 1:35 scale and consists of 2,700 pieces. Designed with impressive realism and attention to detail, the set faithfully captures the appearance of the original locomotive and features functional track wheels for added authenticity. The set also includes two figures and a section of track, making it a perfect display piece for railway fans and collectors alike.
