Sweet, sour and succulent - there’s so much to love about cherry, the ruby jewel of the fruit kingdom. So when Hotel Chocolat set out to create a recipe to showcase it in all its tangy glory, they didn’t hold back.
Their Triple Cherry Chocolate Selector recipe contains not one, but three distinct cherry layers – giving this much-requested fruit the recognition it deserves in one of their first-ever compote-ganache recipes. Bite into one of their Triple Cherry chocolates, and you’ll be greeted with a powerful fruit kick in a satisfying contrast of taste and texture.
First, a jammy cherry compote with a soft fruit tang. Next, they blended sharp sour cherry with real whipping cream to create a creamy ganache with a surprisingly powerful punch, then layered it on top. Finally, they blended morello cherries with white chocolate to create a solid cherry-chocolate cap – a chocolatier’s take on the cherry on top.
This riot of cherry comes nestled in a decadent 70% dark chocolate cup. It was the natural choice for a blend of sour cherries and cream.
Each Triple Cherry Chocolate Selector pack contains six chocolates – perfect for decanting into a bowl and sharing with your nearest and dearest, or simply savouring to yourself.
Bring them out post-dinner to wow your guests with something quite unlike any fruit chocolate they’ll have tried before. It also makes a thoughtful gift if you’re looking for a token of appreciation to bring joy to someone with a soft spot for cherry chocolate.
Hotel Chocolat was founded in 2004 to make luxury chocolate with three guiding principles – authenticity, originality and ethics. These remain central to the brand’s success today, and with its Rabot Estate cacao farm and locations across the UK and internationally, Hotel Chocolat connects the world of cacao agriculture with the decadence of top-quality chocolate.
