The Original 315 Desk Lamp, Navigation Edition is re-engineered from an Anglepoise archive design first developed in the 1940s for navigators' chart tables aboard long-range maritime patrol aircraft. Adapted for contemporary desks and studios, it retains the purposeful character of the original product while introducing a polished aluminium shade, satin black components and a compact square desk base.

Unlike other Anglepoise desk lamps, the Original 315 uses a GU10 spotlight source to deliver a brighter, higher-intensity beam for focused task lighting.
