This two-sided mallet lets you pound chicken flat for faster cooking or tenderise that flank steak for melt-in-your-mouth goodness. The pyramid-shaped teeth are perfect for breaking down tougher fibres to tenderise proteins and prepare them for marinating. The smooth side makes short work of flattening meats to a uniform thickness for even cooking. The stainless steel core and angled head are designed to maximise force without tiring you out. The soft handle fits comfortably in your hand while you work, while its non-slip grip provides traction even when wet. When you're done cooking, pop it in the dishwasher to clean and sanitise as it's dishwasher safe.

OXO began life when Sam Farber, an entrepreneur in the housewares industry, saw an opportunity to create comfortable kitchen tools that could be used by everyone. After hundreds of models, dozens of design iterations, and extensive research, OXO was born. In 1990, the first group of 15 OXO Good Grips kitchen tools was introduced. Since then, they have designed the OXO tot range which aims to make feeding little ones a little bit easier and a lot more fun.
